The 8th General Assembly of TÜRKÜNİB Has Begun in Tashkent!

As is known, during the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed the initiative to hold the “Turkic Science, Technology and Innovation Days” during Uzbekistan’s chairmanship of the Turkic University Union (TÜRKÜNİB) in 2025–2026.

Today, this initiative is becoming a reality: the 8th General Assembly of TÜRKÜNİB has officially started at Tashkent International University.

The event was opened by Hilola Umarova, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Education Reform; Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation; Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States; Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy; and Iskandar Yo‘ldoshev, Rector of Tashkent International University.

The assembly is attended by representatives of about 70 universities from member countries of the organization, including nearly 200 rectors and scholars.

Within the framework of the event, the “Turkic Science, Technology and Innovation Days” initiative is being discussed, and an exhibition of Uzbekistani universities has been organized.
