Department of Islamic Law
Islamic law Department began functioning in 2000.
The purpose of establishing this department is to teach Fiqh which is Islamic law on scientific the basis, that was left from our great Faqikhs and along with secular law courses.
Followings are the courses offered by this department:
Usulul Fiqh-principles and methodologies of Islamic law
Fur'ul fiqh-different fields of Islamic law
Legal systems of Muslim countries
Modern law sciences
Directions in Islam and taught of Hanafiy direction
Researching and teaching legal heritage of Central Asian Faqihs according to modern standards.
Staff of department.
There are 20 professor-lecturers teaching in the department. 3 of them are doctors, 7 of them are candidates, 7 of them are lecturers and 3 of them are researchers.
Activities and researches of the department.
Department is offering courses on “Law”, “Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, 28 different courses on “Islamic Law”, since 2003-2004 academic year for graduate school 28 different courses on “Islamic law” and “Legal systems of Muslim countries”.

Participation of Central Asian faqihs in Islamic law 
Comparative study of Islamic law and other legal systems
Different teams were established in order to prepare scientific works on topics such as “Usulul-fiqh methodology of Islamic law” and “Fiqh science an Master's Degree d place of Movarounnahr scholars in its development)) based on researches on above mentioned directions for 2003-2005.
Monograph named “Religious fundamentalism and its threat to the security of a society” was prepared under leadership of A.Sh.Juzjoniy.
Ass. Prof. A.Tuhtahunov is preparing for publishing his books “Tax legacy and financial law” and course book on law. H.Tuychiyeva and Ass.Prof. F.Muhitdinova are carrying out researches on “Place of education of law in forming legal awareness” and “Taught of Farobiy about state and law” respectively.

4 Master students in Islamic law are accepted as researchers in the department. Department of International Economic Relations
Department of international economic relations was established under the faculty of Islamic law, economy and natural sciences on 28th of August, 2001.

Purpose and tasks of the department:
This department is specialized in preparing highly qualified specialists on Economy (Bachelor's degree) who get profound religious and secular knowledge on B5341100 "Word Economy and International Economic Relations" specialty, one of the 4 majors noted in the Decree of the President of the republic of Uzbekistan April 7, 1999 and obtain two foreign languages (Arabic and English) perfectly.
Moreover, International Economic relations department prepares students of Master's Degree on 5341104 “Economy of Foreign Countries” specialty. Master's Degree students are taught on the following subject: “International customs affairs”, “International economic statistics”, and “Economy of developing countries”, “Islamic countries in the World Economy System”, “Trade and business in Islam”, “Social defense in Islam”, “Finance and banking in Islam”.
Activities and researches of the department. Presently department is offering courses, seminars and practical trainings lectures on such topics as “International economic relations”, “International foreign exchange and credit relations”, “International Marketing”, “International trade and business”, “Есоnоmу of International Tourism”, “International Diplomatic Relations”, “International Management”, “World Eсоnоmу”, “Eсоnоmу of industrialized countries”, “Economy of Developing Countries”, “Economy of Islamic countries”, “Principles of Islamic Economy”, “Foreign Economic Activity”, “International Economic Integration”, “Balance of Payments”, “International Customs”, “International Insurance”, “International Logistics”, “International Marketing Strategies”, “Trade and business in Islam”, “Islamic Countries in the World Economy”, “International Economic Statistics”, “Economy of developed countries”, “Economy of transformation and developed countries”, “Social Security in Islam”, “Finance and Banking in Islam” and “International Financial Relations”.
By now 134 students of Bachelor's Degree have successfully completed their diplomas. Their researches are related to: Modern market economy, international economic relations, Economy of developed countries and developing countries in Euroasia and Africa, basis of Islam economy, etc. International main power migration", "Significance of commercial banks in foreign trade", "Admission of Uzbekistan to the world trade organization and its future", "Role of joint ventures in Uzbek economy", "The problems of integration in Central Asia countries", "Trade relations of oil industry in Arabic countries" All of these topics can be given as examples of some of our students scientific works.
In the disciplines led in International Economic Relations course-books and manuals which are recommended by Ministry of higher and secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For the past years, more than 100 articles, theses, monographs, coursebooks and manuals have been published and 25 course-books and manuals arc ready to be printed.

In 2004 professors and Lecturers of the department such as M.Saidkarimova, Z.Sodiqov and A.Abdurashidov in the institute of pedagogical personnel preparation of National University of Uzbekistan, in 2005 R.Abdullayev, A.Hudoyorov, A.Abdurashidov and Sh.Jumayev won in the competition organized by "Iste'dod" fund of the President of the republic of Uzbekistan aimed at getting higher qualification of young talented teachers and scientific personnel and got one month's higher qualification in the University "Aarhus", in Denmark. This tradition has been going on by now, in April, 2006, A.Abdurashidov took part in the course of getting higher qualification initiated by Italian Ministry of Foreign Trade.
Also, professors and lecturers of the department are constantly participating in scholarships on World development Bank, Asia development Bank, USAID, TASIS and TEMPUS programs.
In order to consolidate their theoretical knowledge with practice, students attend Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Economic Relations Agency, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, National Bank of Foreign Economic Activities and many other organizations of such kind for their summer practice.

The Department of International Economic relations has scientific cooperation with several prestigious higher educational establishments such as Institute of Economy of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences, Tashkent State University of Economy, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Tashkent Financial Institute, University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Scientific-research institute of Market reforms, National University of Uzbekistan and others.
